In Louisiana, your Driver's Ed requirements will differ depending on your age.
30/8 Hour Course - $450.00
If you're 15 to 17 years old, your Driver's Education course must include:

A pre-licensing course (30 hours) of classroom instruction.

8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction,
-
Classroom instruction is held over a 4 day period (two weekends if during school, four days consecutively during the summer)

The driving portion begins AFTER successful completion of all four days of class.

Driving time is completed through a one-on-one basis and can be scheduled to fit even the busiest individuals.

14 Hour Course - $350.00
If you're 18 years old or older, your Driver's Education course must include:

A pre-licensing course (6 hours) of classroom instruction a classroom, which is completed in ONE day.

8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

Driving time is completed through a one-on-one basis and can be scheduled to fit even the busiest individuals.

Road Skills Test or Third Party Testing - $40.00
PLEASE NOTE: THE ROAD SKILLS TEST IS NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF EITHER OF OUR DRIVER'S EDUCATION COURSE. IT IS ONLY GIVEN AND CHARGED FOR UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE COURSE AND/OR IF THE STUDENT MEETS ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS.
REQUIRED for - Teens and Adults
The Road Skills Test is the examination of the driver’s ability to safely operate and maneuver a vehicle in traffic. Each applicant must successfully complete the Road Skills Test before initial issuance of a Class D or E driver’s license. The vehicle is provided by driving school, scheduling to take the test is available at our Thibodaux Office on Mondays & Thursday between the hours of 9am-1pm as well as well Tuesdays and Wednesdays between the hours of 1pm-5pm. The test is administered even in inclement weather. All tests are by appointment only.
Who needs to complete the Road Skills Test? All Class D or E driver’s license applicants. If you have successfully completed the appropriate Driver's Education Course AND meet the eligibility requirements to take the Road Skills Test (16 yrs of age and have held your learner's permit for 180 days OR 17+ years old and have a TIP card, course certificate of completion and state knowledge test in a sealed envelope), please contact Ellie at 985-532-6390 VIA TEXT MESSAGE to schedule your appointment today.
